webOS mobile hardware petition started
By: Tom Manning - March 04, 2013

LG just purchased webOS from HP but they supposedly intend to use the OS in smart TVs. The webOS community seems to want mobile hardware however. We'd like to see smartphones and tablets running webOS. One user has decided to start a petition at change.org in hopes of convincing LG to move forward with a mobile device.

The petition is entitled, "LG Electronics USA: Make webOS mobile hardware, ex.: smartphones and tablets."

Palm created a innovative and intuitive mobile operating system with webOS. HP under utilized the OS after purchasing Palm and promising to help build the dream that Palm had developed. LG has now purchased webOS and reportedly will not be interested in using it on mobile products, but rather on televisions. WebOS was designed to be used on touch devices and offers incredible multitasking in this area.

The faithful fans of webOS have been through hell and back. With this new buyout, they deserve to get the hardware they have craved since it was promised by HP almost 2 years ago. These fans still believe in webOS, and will buy a smartphone and tablets. We just need LG to build it.

So far nearly 1000 people have signed the petition, but they really need to hit 20,000 signatures to get this goin. Hit the source link below to join the voices and sign the petition.
