webOS isn't dead after all
By: Tom Manning - March 05, 2015

We all thought webOS died a few years ago when HP dumped it into the open source community. LG subsequently picked up the pieces of webOS and intended to use it in TV's and other appliances. Now it see LG has other plans. LG has announced the Watch Urbane and the Watch Urbane LTE. The Urbane LTE runs none other than webOS! What?!

Instead of running Android, LG chose to go with webOS. The choice apparently allows them to make the watch a fully functional phone that can make calls and send messages.

Interestingly, the watch is only available in Korea and there is no news to suggest it will make it to the states. webOS was a fantastic, futuristic OS and many people were seriously bummed when it died. Let's hope LG has some success so they can bring it back in a new form!
