HP announced plans earlier this year to cut 27,000 jobs from its global workforce. Now a new SEC filing released today indicates the number will actually be 29,000. The cuts will supposedly save the company over $3 billion.
In the filing the company said it had already cut about 3800 jobs. The cuts will continue through next year into 2014.
Even with the current cuts HP is still the largest PC maker, but Lenovo is hot in its tails.
