Open webOS runs as an Android app
By: Tom Manning - December 04, 2012

webOS fans out there can take solace in the fact that webOS is not dead, yet. webOS has a new lease on life because it can now be run as an Android app. We've seen it running on Android phones before, but not as an app. The good folks at Phoenix International Communications (PIC) have managed to build a functional version of Open webOS as an Android app. Performance is not good, but it's a start.

As you can see in the video it runs, but it's not pretty. Let's hope future updates will bring big performance increases. I'm not sure why you would want to run webOS as an app, but anything that keeps the platform alive is good with me. Do you miss webOS? Would you use it if it could run on a top flight phone?
