HP sells webOS properties to LG
By: Tom Manning - February 25, 2013

webOS has been left for dead and given to the open source community, but it's not over until it's over. HP has apparently struck a deal with LG to sell all the remaining pieces of Palm's webOS. That means the code, the engineering talent, and more will head over to LG. Apparently, LG will use the software in its smart TVs.

No financial details were disclosed, but this might be good news for webOS fans. If LG has some success, perhaps they could build a phone down the road.

Wow, I didn't see this coming. HP promised to double down on webOS but that never happened. Maybe LG can do something with it.
