Palm CEO Jon Rubinstein has been making the rounds hasn't he? With all the speculation and rumors about Palm being for sale, and the bleak predictions, Mr. Rubinstein is still talking positively about Palm to the press.
SlashGear sat down with Jon Rubinstein and asked him the usual questions. He wouldn't reveal any plans for new devices but did say we could expect "faster, more responsive delivery of new devices." We'd like to see Palm enter the high-end smartphone market but he wouldn't say.
He did talk about a possible tablet computer. He obviously wouldn't commit but said "webOS was designed to be a 'mobile device OS' rather than solely a smartphone platform, suited to a broad scale of devices up to tablets and even larger. "
So, there's not a lot of new news here but he's got his game face on and it doesn't seem like webOS is going anywhere. They're still trying to make a go of it. Let's hope he succeeds.
