PC Magazine contributor Lance Ulanoff has written another open letter to Palm suggesting that the company open the Palm OS to the open source community. He says he makes the suggestion "out of love." He makes a very persuasive argument for the open source community but the chances of this happening seem slim.
Whether or not Palm does actually open their software we hope they will make many of the improvements that Mr. Ulanoff suggests are needed. Palm OS hasn't been updated in a couple of years now and consequently it feels very outdated.
