Nokia says they will avoid the HP webOS mistakes

News - By: SPBlast! Staff - September 07, 2011

Nokia says it has learned from the big HP webOS debacle and they will avoid the same mistakes. Gary Chan, head of ecosystem and developer experience told ZDNet that HP's troubles prove how fast the industry is moving. He said webOS "did not have a big enough addressable market as well as provide the means for developers to monetize their products."

He then stressed that Nokia is making efforts to learn HP's lessons and make sure that its plans for Windows Phone-based phones are executed well. Nokia and Microsoft announced their partnership to have Windows Phone as Nokia's primary OS in February.

What do you think? Can Nokia avoid the same issues that plagued webOS? I don't think anyone could screw up more than HP did. Morons.
