Will Samsung save webOS?

News - By: SPBlast! Staff - August 29, 2011

Samsung has recently denied that it would purchase HP's PC business, but the company could be eyeing webOS instead. According to Digitimes, Samsung is considering a purchase of webOS from HP. It has been widely reported that Samsung has been looking for their own mobile OS for sometime. Could they be the new home of webOS?

If they did purchase webOS, how many of the people responsible for webOS would move with it? When webOS moved from Palm to HP several key people left HP. Could webOS thrive with Samsung? I just don't know. Samsung has the resources but do they have the culture, and the vision to take webOS where it needs to go? Stay tuned.
