Microsoft openly courts webOS developers on Twitter

News - By: SPBlast! Staff - August 22, 2011

Microsoft is going after webOS developers in an effort to gain more support for Windows Phone. With most webOS developers feeling like they're in limbo after HP pulled the rug out from under them, Microsoft wants to bring them out of the mobile wilderness.

Microsoft's Senior Director of Windows Phone 7 Development, Brandon Watson, took to Twitter to offer developers "what you need" to be successful on Windows Phone, including free phones. Check out his tweet:

"To any published webOS Devs: We'll give you what you need to be successful on #Windows Phone incl.free phones, dev tools, training, etc."

Will anyone take him up on his offer, or are webOS developers waiting on HP to see what is next?
