Team TouchDroid hopes to port Android to webOS

News - By: SPBlast! Staff - August 20, 2011

The HP TouchPad fire sale is on. If you haven't picked yours up yet you can get a TouchPad for as low as $99 or $149 depending on which model you choose. With hardware that cheap there's already talk of porting Android over to it. Wouldn't that be something?

Check out the hashtag on Twitter for #touchdroid. There is lots of activity already so let's hope someone figures out a way to port Android over. I'd like to see someone take webOS and really do something with it, but that seems like dreamsville at this point. Who in their right mind would license webOS when HP couldn't make a go of it? Nobody.
