Palm Pre 2 gets official webOS 2.1 update

News - By: pdaBlast! Staff - March 10, 2011

The Palm Pre 2 has the official webOS 2.1 update in hand. Palm released the OTA update today. The new update introduces support for the Touchstone's Exhibition mode, Voice Dial, and several other fixes and updates to existing apps. Check your Updates icon to see if it's available in your area. It should be.

Be careful when you update because some things might break. I updated and all of my contact icons I put on the Launcher no longer had pictures attached. Most of my contacts still had their pictures attached, but the didn't show up in global search, SMS, or in the contacts app. Oh well, they were messed up with 2.0.1 too. Palm just can't shake the bugs out of webOS.
