The webOS based Palm Pre 2 is headed to Verizon on February 17 if a PalmCentral tipster is correct. You can pick one up for just $100 on a 2-year contract, that is, if you're not already set on getting a new iPhone 4. Really, who in their right mind will be picking up a Palm Pre 2 when the iPhone is launching a week before?
I loved my Palm Pre, but the hardware was just too underpowered for the OS. I've waited, and waited, and waited for Palm to get its act together and launch a top tier phone, but I finally gave up and picked up the iPhone. I also have an Android phone, but I still miss my Pre.
Palm has a big event planned for February 9th. What will they announce? Probably a couple of tablets and a phone or two. Let's just hope they have a really high end phone in the works, otherwise their done.
