If you can't wait for the HP Pre 3 or Veer to hit the stores you can get a Pre 2 on Verizon for $99. Pre-orders are now available and the phones will ship on February 17. If you don't want to sign a contract you'll have to pay $450 for the Pre 2.

The Verizon Pre 2 is now an HP product due to the demise of Palm. It sports webOS 2.0 on a "vivid" touchscreen display.

I love webOS, but I'd say wait for the Pre 3. The Pre and Pre 2 just don't add up to a top of the line phone. The hardware is underpowered for the OS.
