According to various reports the Palm Eos is on track to be released. Some reports suggest the Eos could launch as early as October, while other reports say later. Digitimes reports the following:
"Monthly orders for the Eos, which features a 2.6-inch multi-touch display and supports GSM/HSPA initially, will reach 400,000-500,000 units, which will help drive up Compal's revenues starting in the fourth quarter, the paper said, adding Compal will also begin to ship a CDMA EV-DO version of the Eos to Palm in the first quarter of 2010."
Palm needs to get some other devices supporting their WebOS because frankly, the buzz about the Palm Pre has faded. A few months there was great hope for Palm with the announcement of the Pre, but the sales seem to be in decline.
