Palm recently released WebOS v 1.2 (and now 1.2.1). The new update improved many features of the OS, but there are still a few more updates that we think the Pre needs now. Here's our list:
Palm Profile must backup ALL apps, including Homebrew apps, and Launcher icon positioning.
Contact photo in Email notifications just like the Messaging notifications.
Search contacts notes. We like to place keywords in contact notes for easy searching, but Palm does not search the notes. This many not have to be included in the global search, but should be included when you open the contacts app and search from there.
Palm must drop the use of the orange key for text movement and replace it with a tap and hold gesture like Windows Mobile and the iPhone.
Require password to unlock after so many minutes of being idle.
Wireless transfer of files to and from a computer.
Auto BCC in the mail app.
More synergy compatibility (Yahoo, MSN, etc.)
Much faster speed overall.
Better hardware. The Pre display loosens over time. We've tried several with the same poor results on each.
