Just days after Palm announced the Palm Pre running its own WebOS rumors are floating that Palm will release a Centro running the same WebOS. PalmInfocenter is reporting they have heard from a "seemingly reliable firsthand source that Palm is prepping a new Centro 2 to debut later this fall on Sprint."

It would certainly make sense for Palm to release a Centro running its own OS. Since Palm has decided to develop an OS rather than stick with an existing OS, they'll likely need more than one hardware option to be successful.
