Verizon Treo 700p Update Available

News - By: pdaBlast! Staff - July 09, 2007

The story of the Treo 700p update has been a long and frustrating one. Promises of releases, releases, pull backs, re-releases, more pull backs, and more releases have been the norm for the Treo 700p ROM update. We're so tired of the false promises and head fakes that we're weary of even reporting on this anymore.

With that said, the long-awaited update for the Verizon version of the Treo 700p is being rolled out to certain Verizon Wireless corporate stores. Instead of simply posting the update to the web site, Verizon has sent the 700p 1.10 ROM out on SD cards to select corporate stores for Verizon service technician use only. No user installable release is available. Go figure. The good news is that initial reports say the update process is successful and the majority of the 700p's bugs have been fixed.
