News - By: pdaBlast! Staff - May 01, 2007

The Palm Developer Network has launched the Treo Windows Mobile Challenge Contest in an effort to encourage more developers to create applications for the Treo 700 and 750 series smartphones.

To take part in contest participants will need to develop a new Windows Mobile application or port an existing application to the Windows Mobile platform.

Entries will be judged on

  • Concept originality
  • General usability of the application
  • Specific utility to mobile phone users
  • Reliability and compatibility
  • "Wow" factor of graphical look and feel

Four finalists and one grand prize winner will be chosen on June 7th at Microsoft’s Tech Ed conference in Orlando, Florida. Participants need not be present to win.
