Is Dell developing smartphone?

News - By: pdaBlast! Staff - March 06, 2007

Is Dell developing their own line of smartphones? If the rumor is correct, they are working on it. According to Brighthand, some sources from a Taiwanese handset maker told Digitimes that Dell is working on their own line of smartphone devices.

It is only a rumor at this point, but Brighthand points out that Dell recently hired Ronald G. Garriques to head its global consumer division. Who is Ronald G. Garriques? He was formerly executive vice president in charge of Motorola’s mobile device division. Does that throw a huge hint towards some kind of telephone device?
