Microsoft has pre-announced Windows Mobile 6, but has done so several days before it originally intended to.
According to Brighthand, Microsoft gave an interview to a French newspaper under the condition that the information discussed would be kept under wraps until the official Windows Mobile 6 announcement was made. The newspaper slipped and published the article so Microsoft was forced to pre-announce WM6 even though the official announcement was scheduled for February 12.
The new OS will include a few welcome changes like HTML formatted emails and improved Office applications.
Windows Mobile 6 devices should be available sometime in the second quarter of this year.
