Unofficial Treo Security Patch

News - By: pdaBlast! Staff - February 19, 2007

A few days ago we told you about a security vulnerability that Symantec found in the Palm OS version of the Treo that enabled someone to access your files even when the device was password protected. Palm so far has declined to fix the vulnerability so TreoCentral member Dkirker has come up with his own fix.

The patch disables the Find application while the device is locked, so your data is protected.

Please be aware that this is a completely unofficial patch that is not supported by Palm.
