According to Reuters Palm will announce a new generation Treo for Europe on September 12, 2006. The announcement is set to be made in the UK in an attempt to generate more sales for the Treo line that has been hit with tough competition and problems with previous Treo models.

Reuters quotes a Palm Spokeman as saying, "The announcement is going to be made in the UK on September 12, and we will give all the details then but at the moment all we are saying is that it will be out before the end of the year."

The new Treo for Europe is expected to run on Vodafone's 3G network and be powered by Windows Mobile 5. No further details are known at this time.
