Palm Drops Unlocked Treo 650 Price

News - By: pdaBlast! Staff - September 14, 2005

Palm has dropped the price of an unlocked Treo 650 by $50. The new price of the unlocked Treo 650 is now $649. Why does the unlocked Treo cost more? Because of agreements made with service providers, Palm is able to offer the Treo 650 at a much lower price. This practice is the same for most cell phones these days. Users get a better price when they sign a one or two year contract with the provider. Without that agreement, Palm must charge the full price for the phone.

Please see Palm's web site for more details.
