News - By: pdaBlast! Staff - January 28, 2004

palmOne has released a system update for the Sprint version of the Treo 600 smart phone. This updates corrects a number of problems with the device. The update includes fixes to the web browser but the big improvement is the support of normal SMS text messaging by Sprint's version of the Treo 600.

The Sprint Treo 600 Updater 1.10 updates are as follow:

  • Corrects SMS Messaging with Sprint's new network SMS implementation
  • Fixes web browser cookie corruption and cookie size management
  • Enables the use of numbered keys to navigate pages on Sprint's mobile website
  • Corrects provisioning issues that have occurred on a small number of devices
  • This is only for those using a Treo 600 on the Sprint PCS network. Those on AT&T, Cingular, or T-Mobile networks should not install it.

Sprint Treo 600 Updater 1.10 can be found on palmOne's support web site.
