Verizon Offers Kyocera 7135 Phone

News - By: pdaBlast! Staff - May 05, 2003

Verizon Wireless is now offering the Kyocera 7135, a Palm OS smartphone. Announced sometime last year, the 7135 is the much anticipated clamshell design Palm OS phone. It features the screen on one side and the Graffiti area, buttons, and a phone keypad on the other. It measures 4.0 by 2.4 by 1.2 inches when closed and weighs only 6.6 ounces. This is far smaller than other Palm OS phones.

The 7135 has a 160 by 160 pixel, 65,000-color display, an SD/MMC slot, and a built-in MP3 player. It runs Palm OS 4.1 on a 33 MHz DragonBall MZ processor and has 16 MB of RAM.

The Kyocera 7135 includes a speakerphone, voice-activated dialing, silent vibrating alert, two-way SMS text messaging.

The Kyocera 7135 is currently available from Verizon Wireless for $499.
