Legend Device Information

Information about the Palm 168, Legend's first Palm OS device have begun to appear on various Chinese and Taiwanese sources. The information that is coming out looks very promising. The device does not fetaaure all of the latest options that may be available in the US or in Europe, but it could be poised to make a strong impact in China.

Here is a brief synopsis of the major specs that have surfaced up to this point:

  • Dragonball 33 MHz Processor
  • Li-Ion Battery
  • 240 x 320 Color Screen
  • 120×73×12.5 (mm)
  • 16 MB RAM
  • 8 MB ROM
  • PalmOS 4.1
The Palm 168 will have MP3 playback ability. The OS on the deviec will be a Chinese translation of the standard Palm OS. A jog dial, and a virtual graffiti area will be available for input.

The device is expected to sell for roughly $240 once it becomes available in January 2003.
