RIM and Palm have announced that they have signed an agreement, in principle, which outlines the fundamental terms under which RIM will license certain RIM keyboard patents to Palm.

This is an interesting agreement as it comes just days after RIM announced a similar deal with Handspring. Palm will be using RIMs keyboard technology in their upcoming Tungsten W device.

Specific deals concerning the agreement were not disclosed.
